The curious, brave, strong and magnificent child you once were is still within you just waiting to be honored! During my twenty-plus years in practice, I have sat with many who have struggled with coming to terms with their past. This means challenging the negative messages you carry around inside your mind and replacing them with words, stories and expressions that define your magnificence and the child you once were.
The world can be a dismal place, adding stress to those who are already struggling. I have worked with individuals from all walks of life--all races, cultures and creeds, often referred to me from rehab centers, counselors, psychiatrists and physicians. In addition I spent many years working as a child advocate for abused and neglected children. As a retiree, I still have much to offer and am pleased to offer you a free consultation to assist your path to healing.
I first started working with Barbara about 2004. When I first came to her I was suffering from depression, anxiety, and self-hatred as a result of many years of abuse from my father as I was growing up. She is absolutely the best counselor that I have ever worked with, and she very likely saved my life.
She is the first person in my life that I ever experienced unconditional love from, and she put me on a successful healing path that continues to this day. I now speak publicly about my years of childhood abuse and my eventual recovery, and I always talk about the most vital part of my recovery, which was working with a fantastic counselor. That counselor was Barbara Lane.
